General Rental Terms and Conditions
- Minimum age limit: 23 years old and have held a driving licence for at least one year for car categories B.
- Maximum age limit: Drivers must be under 70 years old.
- Method of Payment: No credit card is required for the car rental, the renter pays the full amount upon pick up of the car.
- Car Insurance: All prices include simple liability insurance the lessee is liable for any damage or theft (partial/partial) caused to the rented vehicle up to its commercial value at the time of the accident/theft. Mixed insurance the mixed insurance limits the lessee's liability for damage to the hired car up to the amount of the deductible.
- Attention no senior insurance coverage is valid: For anything that happens to the car while it is being transported on a ship. Anything that occurs and the driver is found to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. For damage caused by driving on unpaved roads. For damage caused to the underside of the car, tires, outside mirrors and the antenna. For personal belongings inside the car for accidents caused by an undeclared driver on the lease.
- Loss of key: The customer is responsible for all costs of replacing lost or damaged keys and the cost of recovering keys locked inside a vehicle. This includes the cost of transporting the spare key to the vehicle location or the cost of the technician if the key is inside the vehicle.
- Roadside Assistance: It is provided 24 hours a day.
- Transfer to a ferry is only allowed with registered approval of "GFI RENT A CAR"
- Fines: Fines arising from any violation of Greek legislation during the rental period are the sole responsibility of the renter. If "GFI RENT A CAR" is not informed by the renter of a fine during the rental period (contract), the violation will be charged to the renter.
- The types of cars shown in the photos are indicative. In special cases "GFI RENT A CAR" reserves the right to replace any type of car with another of the same category at no extra charge.
- Fuel policy: You must return the rental vehicle with the same amount of fuel you received.
- We recommend that you always take a photo of your fuel level to avoid misunderstandings and extra charges.
- Exit from the Greek borders: It is strictly forbidden to leave the Greek border with a rented vehicle. This way your insurance protection is no longer valid and you risk being charged for violating the terms and conditions of the rental contract. For any kind of damage caused to the GFI rent a car, the driver is obliged to pay the full amount (100%) for the repair costs of the rental vehicle.
- VAT 24% is always included in the price.
